ABOUT THE BAND

Livealie is a cathartic movement born from emotional honesty and creative reinvention. Formed by ex-Oceans Ate Alaska frontman James Harrison, the transatlantic four-piece operates seamlessly between the UK and US, blending nostalgic metalcore with post-hardcore ambience and emo sincerity to deliver a visceral yet deeply relatable sonic experience.

Their namesake—a twist on “living a lie”—reflects the band’s driving ethos: to reject facades and confront normality. After a decade as a signed artist, James walked away from the comfort of established success to form Livealie with bassist/vocalist Jordan Corman, guitarist Andrew Robles, and drummer Brandon Lee, channeling years of frustration, introspection, and growth into something raw and uncompromising.

Living in the Static, their independent debut, released on December 27th, 2024; is a 11-track odyssey exploring themes of disconnection, truth-seeking, and self-liberation. Supported by six visually immersive music videos, the album has amassed 2 million Spotify streams—without any label or major industry backing. A powerful statement of intent.

The record’s standout singles each showcase a different facet of the band’s dynamic range. To kick-off the record Whirlpools surges with explosive precision and emotional grit and Disciples delivers an anthemic yet eerie pulse that nods to the band’s growing cult-like community. While Smothered,” confronts vulnerability with ethereal tension and a timeless chorus-line, the penultimate track ‘A Liar at Best’ showcases acrobatic clean melodies and commercial flare heard across modern-metal radio waves. Together, these tracks lay the foundation for Livealie’s identity: melancholic, aggressive and adaptable with deeply relatable lyricism.

But Livealie isn’t just about sound. With immersive visuals, subliminal storytelling, and fan-driven experiences like monthly anonymous confession boards, the band cultivates a growing community of followers known as Disciples. Together, they’re building something that fringes on cult-like devotion. With no industry playbook to follow, they’re writing their own—and they’re just getting started.

Critics have already taken notice:

“Pushing the boundaries of what an independent band requires in this age… their ideas are as radical as they are refreshing.”

“From transatlantic members, to friendships forged playing the Vans Warped Tour, their sound is an evocative blend of the UK/US scene.”

“Each song flows with obtuse yet intentional force… a monumental effort in both music and visuals.”

“James is an absolute monstrous vocalist with so much versatility. I was so stoked to hear his voice again.”

With roots in two continents but a single, unified vision, Livealie sits at the bleeding edge of modern metalcore—fusing digital-age innovation with genre-rooted emotion—and they're poised to become one of the most exciting independent acts of 2025 and beyond.
